Wylie has a perfect geographic location. The town sits south-west of Lake Lavon and north-west of Lake Ray Hubbard. It’s a great spot for outdoors enthusiasts. Our pet sitters and dog walkers recommend daily trips to the Trinity Trail on the shore of Lake Lavon. There are a couple of loops you can take your dog on. One is a shorter 3-mile hike, and the other is a 25-mile trail that is very popular among horse owners.

I love the longer trail. I’m partial to a little “off the path” exploration, and the scenery tends to open up as well as privacy. Another great thing about taking the longer trail is seeing all the animals along the way. There are a lot fewer people there. Your pet will get stimulation from having a close experience with nature. Seeing animals frolic, free in nature, is a healing experience for the soul, both humans and dogs!
