As a professional pet sitter, I work with living and breathing creatures daily.

I couldn’t stop reading this amazing TIME Magazine’s new book.  We all know that the mind of an animal is different from the officially accepted scientific explanation.

Anyone who has owned and/or interacted with animals closely will attribute to that.  I own and operate a pet sitting company because pet owners know what’s best for their pets.

In most cases, pet owners have an instinctive feeling about what their pets need.  This entire magazine delves deeper into how animals think and how their brains work.  What drives this strong unexplained connection between humans and animals?

For the next couple weeks, I am going to dig deeper into how animals’ minds work in my daily pet sitting world.  Yes, I did say “minds” not just “brains”.  We see that proof every day.  We work with animals who know how to live in a society, how to form a friendship with other species, and how to talk.

The TIME Magazine goes into science and well documented stories. I would like to go into observations and daily interactions that happen every day.

I personally find this subject fascinating.  We all know that “the animals are inferior and are here to serve humans” is not a sustainable point of view any longer.

It is my goal and my hope that we can get even closer to our pets as we discuss this matter in more detail.  This is where pet owners and pet sitters work hand in hand to impact this world one person and one animal at a time.
