Have I ever mentioned how much I love running a pet sitting company? 😀🐾 I feel so fortunate to meet amazing pet lovers, both pet owners and pet sitters who work for DFW Pet Sitting. This company is going to turn 20 years old in 2023, and I still take things one day at a time, because every day I meet someone new or I learn something from someone. And here is one of those stories:
Pet Sitting Surprise
We have many fantastic people who work for this company. It’s really hard sometimes to keep track of all the new hires, but I’ve started noticing these two specific new hires: Chris W. and Christy W. Both of their last names began with a W but were completely different names. They came on board with us at approximately the same time, too. And that’s when my staff and I couldn’t help but notice so much positive feedback and praise from our clients about those two pet sitters. They had different addresses, but they were just like one super-star just standing out from everyone else.
At that point, I just thought to myself “They’d make a GREAT couple, two best employees both kinda in the same area”…. Until somehow a conversation started about it (I guess I subconsciously was trying to play a matchmaker lol), and guess what I found out? That they WERE a couple, and indeed they were ENGAGED!!
And let me tell you – that news made my day. I was soooo happy that these guys were together! And I felt honored that they chose my company to work for. Pet sitting is a part-time job, and one has so many options to choose from. But they chose DFW Pet Sitting, and it makes me so happy.
What led them to pet sitting
When I asked them what prompted them to start pet sitting, they made it very clear that it was an obvious choice for them. They wanted a hobby that they could do together. And they love pets. For them, it was a perfect match.
When I asked them about their favorite pet, they really tried to narrow it down but at the end, they couldn’t. All their clients’ pets become their favorite pets.
During their free time, they love hanging out at Lazy Dog in Euless. They also love discovering different unique coffee shops. Christy was the one who introduced Chris to the world of coffee, so they do this hobby together as well.
Chris and Chrisy both love Notre Dame and TCU football.
They are getting married in Granbury on April 15, 2023. They have their own baby: a 5-year-old long-haired Dachshund named Dudley.
I am forever grateful for all the amazing people that I meet thru this job. And I am in awe of how many miracles I get to witness daily. Working with people and animals can be hard, but I would choose this path over and over again. I absolutely love my pet sitting staff! ❤️🐾
