Being in the pet sitting and dog walking industry always gets interesting in November. As we reflect on our gratitude and abundance during the Thanksgiving season, we slowly roll into the Christmas holidays. This is the time when I personally like to reflect on the year, on my life, and all the blessings. And being in the pet industry, my writing and my thinking always bring me toward animals.
I can’t stop feeling especially grateful during this season. Grateful for being surrounded by animals. Grateful for being surrounded by animal loves. And especially grateful for all the people in my life: at work and at home both.
To continue with our monthly tradition, I’d like to present our November pet sitter of the month: Shawn Savera. Most of Shawn’s pet sitting and dog walking clients live in Irving, particularly in Valley Ranch and Las Colinas areas. She also has met some pet owners in Coppell.
Shawn is relatively new to the company, but she jumped into this work with both feet as if she planned to do this all her life. She already has a good handful of happy repeat customers, and all the pets absolutely adore her. We are lucky to have her on our team.
Shaw has spent decades in the corporate world. She was also in business for herself for a while but has decided to step away from the “human” world for a while and enjoy the company of animals. Being around pets makes her happy, and her clients can definitely feel how happy their pets are when Shawn cares for them. Pets have the ability to eliminate all your stress from your life if you let them. Shawn has definitely experienced that, and I am 100% in agreement with her. I can’t imagine my life without animals at this point. And I can’t imagine how one lives without them.
Shawn’s favorite activity during her free time is spending time with her black lab Zoey. Zoey LOVES going for a swim in a pond at the McInnish Dog Park off Sandy Lake in Carrollton (on the border of Coppell). She also loves to explore the trails at Grapevine Springs Nature Preserve in Coppell off Bethel Rd. Exploring together is Shawn’s favorite spare time activity.
She’s a true animal lover, and our world is a better place because of people like Shawn.
