There are miles of trails that meander through this lush bottom-land forest.  Here, you can trek along a spring creek and enjoy the limestone creek bed formations. Or take your dog through the forest and discover the local flora and fauna scientists and famous artists have been raving about in this area.

The city of Garland owns this section of the clear water spring creek.  The city maintains and classifies this area as a nature preserve. This status lends to the protection of the area even with a significant influx of population into the Dallas-Fort Worth cities. So grab your trail shoes and get ready for some major dog walking!  Enjoy non-native plants like the famous trout lily from the African lily family. Or walk along the cliff walls and enjoy fossils that date 87 million years back.
