Welcome to the Fort Worth branch of DFW Pet Sitting Services!
All dog walkers and pet sitters in Fort Worth are employees of our company. They are bonded and covered by our liability insurance. DFW Pet Sitting Services employs pet lovers who work in their immediate neighborhoods, usually within 5 miles from where they live. Our company monitors each and every assignment.
DFW Pet Sitting Services was established in 2003. It started covering just a small area around the DFW airport. Our goal was to provide quality pet sitting and dog walking in our neighborhood. Nobody planned to expand all the way to Fort Worth! Yes, there surely are plenty of pets in Fort Worth to pet sit, but how can we maintain the quality all the way over there?
Then the day came when one of our regular pet sitting clients moved to Fort Worth. This is when we decided that if we are going to expand, we must maintain quality. We must have a good system of checks and balances in place. There is no margin for error in our business. Pets can’t take care of themselves if we mess up on the schedule. How could we expand 30 miles west and guarantee the reliability of service?
Expansion to Fort Worth was a huge step that required a very serious approach. That’s when we invested time and resources in our software that keeps the system of checks and balances. This software system allows us to monitor that the employees are completing visits as per their schedule and nothing falls through the cracks. You can read more about our professional grade pet sitting software.
It was a long and exciting ride founding the company and growing it. It was extremely important to not get carried away with aggressive growth. Expanding to Fort Worth back in 2008 allowed us to redesign the company where it didn’t matter where we were. Our pet sitters in Fort Worth were amazing, and our software helped everyone stay organized and on track.
All dog walkers and pet sitters in Fort Worth live in your neighborhood near you.
We can’t stress enough how important it is that your pet sitter or dog walker is local. You want to make sure that the person taking care of your pets is a local pet sitter or dog walker. She/he should know the area and be able to drive or even walk to your house in inclement weather. You also want to make sure they don’t drive too far. You know rush hour Fort Worth traffic can create major delays to the scheduled visits.
Finding a company that is reliable, local, established and professional will make your travel easy and worry-free. With the best dog walkers and pet sitters in Fort Worth, we are here to offer you a worry-free pet care experience.
Don’t forget: we offer pet sitting and dog walking services in all zip codes of Fort Worth and all surrounding areas in Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.

Looking for a dog park in Fort Worth? Look no further! Fort Woof was the first off-leash dog park in the area. It still is one of the most fun spots for pet sitters and dog walkers alike.
Fort Woof has two large fenced-in areas which is a must for off-leash dog parks these days. The larger is for bigger canines and the smaller for the littler dogs. Those little guys surely need a place of their own, away from the big boys. The park is set with benches for us two-legged creatures as well. There are plenty of watering stations for the dogs as well as poop stations so that we can all keep the park clean.
A reminder to pet sitters and dog walkers: like all off-leash parks, your pet must be up to date on all vaccinations! We recommend keeping that info on your furry friends’ tags.
So, come on down to Fort Woof!! It’s east of downtown, inside Gateway Park. It’ll be a good time for your pups and for you as well.

I like working with DFW Pet Sitting because of the variety of furry friends I get to interact with. 🙂 I enjoy watching and caring for my clients’ pets. This job makes me feel like I am on vacation when I get to spend time in the different environments. I also like and apperciate the flexibilty of the job. Great part time job for a single mom or stay at home mom.
Thanks for the kudos, Lisa!!
Terri has joined DFW Pet Sitting in November 2012. She is one of the most tenured and experienced pet sitters in our company. Pet sitting is so much more than a job for her. It’s her passion, her inspiration, her life. She connects with her clients, both human and furry ones. She becomes an extended family to each household that she meets.
Terri has gone thru it all with her extended pet families: health, sickness, potty training, laughs, tears… She loves documenting her experiences in a form of creative writing. She is a published author of many pet-related articles. You can find her work at https://petsitterimagines.blogspot.com/, https://terririmmer2018.blogspot.com/, and her portfolio is all stored at https://rimmersportfolio.blogspot.com/.
Terri loves that she gets to have a flexible schedule along with close and personal relationship building with her clients. Meeting new pets is the highlight of her life. Every pet is different. Every pet sitting visit is different. No two days are alike. It never gets boring being a professional pet sitter and dog walker.
Terri is a proud parent of a 12-year old calico cat Marbles. Marles got quite a personality! Her favorite thing is when Terri cleans the house. That’s when Marbles gets to explore behind furniture that gets moved around, hide in new drawers that usually stay shut, or crawl into open spaces that are usually hidden. Daily brushing is a daily routine for both Terri and Marbles. Watching TV snuggled up on the couch is one of their favorite past times.
