Erwin Park is a beautiful place to trek for Sachse pet lovers.

Erwin Park is one of my favorite places when I am pet sitting or out walking my dog. The trail traverses so many different terrains that it’s never monotonous. You’ve got sweeping plains with steep-ish grades. There are small valley-like sections with wooded areas on and off. You can find some of the best hills in the metroplex here. It’s not too steep but enough for you and your dog to enjoy getting through them.

The fact that bikers love this trail is a bonus for the upkeep. The DFW DORBA group has made great efforts to keep the trail up and put in several bridges and switchbacks. It’s fun to walk your dog along them. It’s even more fun to watch those bikers swing through these areas. The trails are so narrow in spaces that it almost looks like the bikers will get hung up – but they don’t.

Erwin Park is a fun trail with lots of activity for your pet and you. It’s an excellent place for people-watching and a beautiful country.
